Central Slovakia is home to a number of important sites, the well known Tatra Mountains or Fatra and many interesting cities as Zilina with it's church of St Stephen - one of the oldest Romanesque churches in Slovakia, Zvolen with it's magnificient castle, Kremnica and Banska Stiavnica with gold, silver and copper mining history, perhaps one of the most important is Banska Bystrica, surrounded by stunning mountains.
