Jablkovy kolac

Raisin in filling is not essential. You can place your favourite fillings.

Ingredients: Yields 25 cakes (30x28cm baking pan)

400g   all purpose flour
200g   unsalted butter
100g   sugar
2   eggs
1 1/2tablespoons   baking powder
1000g   apple
1 1/2teaspoons   cinnamon
2tablespoons   sugar
50g   Raisins
20g   icing sugar for dusting

Directions: 1

In a bowl place flour, sugar and baking powder and mix well.
Pour beaten eggs into the flour and mix until all flour is combined.
Then add diced room temperature butter and knead until smooth.

Place all ingredients except butter into a food processor and pulse until blended.
Add butter and pulse until it forms a dough.

Shred unpeeled apple. Add sugar, cinnamon and raisin and mix well.
Preheat oven to 180°C (356°F).

Cut the dough into 2 pieces, one slightly larger than the other.
First roll out the larger dough to 5mm (1/4 inch) thickness
on the parchment paper and place on the baking pan.

Place the apple filling on the dough evenly.

Roll out the other dough as before.
Place second dough over the filling and seal the edges by pressing the dough together.
Bake for 35-40 minutes.

Remove the tart from oven and cool for 1-2 hours before slicing.
Dust icing sugar on the surface. Enjoy!
